Star Middle School & District Master Plan Star, Idaho
Project Description
BRECKON landdesignteamed with Lombard/Conrad Architects to complete a comprehensive master plan for Star Schools in the West Ada School District that included site planning and development for a new middle school along with future plans for an elementary, high school, and technical training facility.
In addition to building locations and overall site design for pedestrian and vehicular circulation, the master plan incorporated a wide range of athletic facilities to serve students of all ages. These included competition venues and practice fields for softball, baseball, football, and soccer; multiple track and field facilities, including a stadium area; and courts for tennis, pickleball, basketball, and volleyball. Age-specific playgrounds were also designed to serve the elementary school.
Site circulation and parking elements were carefully planned to meet the daily requirements of the schools and also handle capacity events at all recreation facilities.
