Project Description
Scope of work for this project involved comprehensive site design for a new middle school in Twin Falls, Idaho. BRECKON landdesign designed for vehicular access and circulation, parking lots for visitors and faculty, bus access and drop-off areas, and visitor drop-off zones. Two roundabouts were implemented to provide for smooth flow of vehicular traffic while minimizing pedestrian-vehicle conflicts and site congestion.
The site plan also integrated multiple sports fields for soccer and baseball, as well as basketball and tennis courts. Shallow basalt bedrock on site drove the grading and drainage component of the site plan, especially as pertained to the track and field/football stadium. Finish elevations for the stadium facility were set so as to minimize the need for blasting and make use of existing site topography to provide terraced spectator seating. BLDwas involved in the full evolution of this project from preliminary design through construction documentation and implementation.
