Project Description

BRECKON landdesign worked with Design West Architects, PA, to complete a master plan and site development for the new Wilder Elementary School. The scope of services also included master planning to accommodate future expansion of an adjacent high school/middle school facility and development of an adjacent parcel–40-acres in total–to create a destination sports complex that would serve the District at large.

In addition to building locations and overall site design for pedestrian and vehicular circulation, the master plan provides layout for a wide range of athletic facilities. These include natural turf football practice fields and a synthetic turf competition venue; track and field facilities; a four-plex for baseball and softball; and ball fields and courts for soccer and other varsity sports.

Site circulation and parking elements were designed to serve the daily requirements of the schools and capacity events at all recreation facilities.

Phasing strategies for project implementation were also provided as part this project.

Design challenges and innovations for the project included phasing of the master plan and future land leasing to the Aslan Christian Academy.
