BRECKON landdesign [BLDi] teamed with Erstad Architects to provide landscape, hardscape, waterscape and irrigation planning and design services for the new Philip E. Batt Education Building at the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights in downtown Boise. Water features include a pondless waterfall near the building entrance and donor paver area, as well as a terraced reflection pool between the building and the adjacent Anne Frank Memorial. Water-wise trees and shrubs were selected and drip irrigation systems minimize unnecessary water use. Materials were chosen to create a seamless transition between the adjacent Anne Frank Memorial and Marilyn Shuler Learning Pavilion, also completed by Erstad and Breckon Land Design.
