BRECKON landdesignworked with McKibben + Cooper architects, Idaho Smart Growth, the Barber Valley Neighborhood Association, and others on a community-based placemaking effort for the Barber Valley at large.
Our team provided conceptual designs for passive recreational features, gathering places, educational opportunities, and pedestrian pathways. The plan also provides interpretation of elements of natural and cultural interest including a history of settlement in the area, the importance of the Boise River to Barber Mill and early commerce in the valley, and riparian ecology and wildlife habitat.
