Project Description
BRECKON landdesign worked with Ada County Operations on a multi-phased project for improvements to Barber Park in Boise. The scope of work included planning, phasing strategy, design, bidding and construction administration for parking lot, plaza and pathway improvements, enhancements to the existing boat/raft launching area and Fish & Game access, two new bridges for pedestrian and park maintenance use, and a new fishing pier on the Boise River.
The project involved extensive coordination with multiple public agencies due to the sensitive location along the Boise River and within the existing flood plain. The improvements were designed to be completed in phases to maximize the available budget and keep park facilities available for use during the busy season.
